Manchester City have discovered their potential route to the Champions League final – and it includes a possible meeting with Cristiano Ronaldo’s Juventus.
The draw for the Champions League quarter-finals and semi-finals took place on Friday ahead of a mini-knockout competition in Lisbon next month.
Pep Guardiola’s City will face Lyon or Juventus in the quarter-finals if they overcome Real Madrid, who they currently lead 2-1 after the first leg of their last-16 clash.
If Madrid manage to turn things around in the second leg at the Etihad, a potential reunion with record goalscorer Ronaldo beckons.
Juve still have plenty of work to do themselves, trailing Lyon 1-0 after the first leg of their last-16 tie.
Chelsea are all-but eliminated following a crushing 3-0 defeat to Bayern Munich at Stamford Bridge, and the winner of that last-16 tie will face Napoli or Barcelona.
Elsewhere, some teams have already progressed through to the last eight.
Paris Saint-Germain will be licking their lips at a quarter-final against underdogs Atalanta, while RB Leipzig will face Atletico Madrid.
The winner of Atalanta vs PSG and Leipzig vs Atletico will face off in the semi-finals, so will the winners of Man City or Real Madrid vs Lyon or Juventus and Chelsea or Bayern Munich vs Napoli or Barcelona.

How does it work?
The remaining Round of 16 matches will be held as normal in the first week of August before the remaining teams jet off to Portugal a week later.
Those ties will then all be played as a straight knockout tournament in Lisbon next month.
The ties will be single-leg fixtures and held at either Benfica’s Estadio da Luz or Sporting Lisbon’s Estadio Jose Alvalade.
