Alabama picked up a new commitment for the 2022 class Thursday afternoon from a versatile offensive threat from Florida.

Amari Niblack, listed as an athlete by the recruiting services, gave his pledge to the Crimson Tide as the recruiting cycle heats up. Listed at 6-foot-4, 225 pounds, Niblack plays tight end at Lakewood High school.

As it stands now, Niblack is a 3-star prospect on 247Sports’ composite ratings. He’s the No. 492 national recruit and No. 41 among the athlete category.

Niblack is the eighth player to commit to the 2022 class and the second pledge this month after Le’veon Moss did so June 6.

The Alabama class is currently 17th early in the cycle paced by five-star quarterback Ty Simpson of Martin, Tennessee.
