Anthony Joshua is on the brink of the fight of his life, but his police escort has made him late.
It was revealed prior to the Dillian Whyte fight that AJ was late to the arena because his police escort got lost.
Andy Ruiz Jr, the champion, arrived prior to Whyte’s outing with Mariusz Wach and even gave an interview ahead of the fifth round.
Joshua’s walkout time is expected to be around 8:45PM and just before 7pm, he finally arrived to the new arena in Saudi.
The Sky Sports team showed shots of the Joshua dressing room and it was filled with many inspirational messages.
Carl Froch immediately pointed out that AJ’s trainer Rob McCracken wouldn’t have organised that and it was probably from a mental coach.
Joshua has been relaxed but focused all week long and he looks in better shape than he ever has.
However, Ruiz Jr has also sported a calm exterior and he is keeping that underdog mentality with him.
We have to wonder if AJ was his usual relaxed self when he was lost in Saudi Arabia with just a couple of hours until the biggest fight of his career!
