Andy Ruiz Jr has blasted Tyson Fury for attempting to represent Mexico during his open workout on Tuesday.
Fury was given a huge reception during his public workout as he continues his preparations for Saturday’s fight vs Otto Wallin.
Turning up for his pad session on the casino floor of the MGM Grand, the former heavyweight champion donned a Mexican lucha libre mask and wore a Mexican themed headband, as his fight falls on the weekend of Independence Day.
Ruiz, a Mexican-American, is currently readying himself for a rematch with Anthony Joshua in Saudi Arabia, who he beat for the world heavyweight titles back in June.
Having seen Fury wear the colours of his nation, Ruiz launched a foul-mouthed rant at the Brit.
“Tyson Fury’s next. Tyson Fury’s talking s***, he’s representing Mexico – he’s not even Mexican, what kind of s*** is that?” he said on Instagram.
“A British f******, he ain’t even Mexican, wearing the f****** Mexican flag, messed up man.
“Stay in your lane, represent your country, Tyson Fury represent your country, represent what you represent.
“He just needs to stay in his lane – represent where he’s from, shouldn’t be representing another country that he’s not even a little close of.”
