Chelsea manager Frank Lampard has brought three injured players back into his starting XI to face Liverpool.
The Blues boss remained optimistic that his young star Mason Mount would be able to feature despite suffering an ankle injury against Valencia in midweek, and the Englishman passed his late fitness test.
N’Golo Kante and Emerson also return to provide a big boost to Lampard, who has reverted back to his initial formation with four defenders, three midfielders, two wingers and a striker.
Cesar Azpilicueta, Andreas Christensen, Fikayo Tomori and Emerson occupy the defensive positions – as Antonio Rudiger remains sidelined and Marcos Alonso returns to the bench.
Kante, Jorginho and Mateo Kovacic make up the midfield with Mount and Willian supporting Tammy Abraham in attack.
As for Liverpool, Jurgen Klopp has made just one change from the side that was beaten 2-0 by Napoli in midweek.
Adrian remains in goal with Alisson ruled out and Trent Alexander-Arnold, Virgil van Dijk, Joel Matip and Andy Robertson make up the defence.
Jordan Henderson and Fabinho keep their places in midfield while Georginio Wijnaldum takes James Milner’s spot back.
The feared trio of Mo Salah, Roberto Firmino and Sadio Mane start up front as expected.
