Chris Eubank Jr has exclusively told talkSPORT that he is planning to return to the ring in October or November.
While an opponent and specific date/venue are not yet confirmed, the 29-year-old is hoping to get everything finalised within the next couple of weeks to ensure he competes again before the end of 2019.
Eubank Jr told talkSPORT’s Ian Abrahams: “I haven’t fought since my last fight at the end of February.
“I wanted to fight three times this year, it doesn’t look like that’s gonna happen.
“But I’m definitely fighting within the next couple of months.
“Trying to get out around October/November time. No opponent yet, but I will know within the next couple of weeks and there’ll be an announcement.
“But I’ll definitely be fighting towards the end of this year, 100 per cent, just getting ready for that now.”
Since Eubank Jr beat James DeGale in February, his friend Anthony Joshua has been knocked out by Andy Ruiz Jr and already announced a December 7 rematch in Saudi Arabia.
When asked if he’s predicting repeat or revenge, Chris said: “With a guy like Ruiz, it’s always gonna be tricky. He’s very hard to train for, to prepare for.
“There’s not many fighters in the world that are his size, his weight and have his style at the same time…
“In this fight I believe he will be 100 per cent on it. I believe he’ll do the job and get his belts back.”
