Michigan State is set to host the Maryland Terrapins this upcoming Saturday. The game is set to kick off at 4pm, which should make it easier for out-of-state recruits to attend the game, compared to the noon kickoff against Michigan. The Spartans are currently 14-point favorites, so Mel Tucker and the squad should be able to give the prospects something to cheer for while in attendance.
One storyline to watch is that a current transfer portal target is visiting Michigan State this weekend. The name will be kept confidential for the time being, at the request of the player. He is transferring out of a Power 5 school. Spartan Tailgate will have more on him later in his portal recruitment.
As for the names that can be discussed, there are 15 prospects that can be expected at Spartan Stadium. This total makes it the third-largest visit weekend of the season so far, behind the Michigan weekend (42) and the Nebraska weekend (28). Of these 15 visitors, 12 of them are Power 5 level prospects at this point in their recruitments.
