It’s day five of the second Test and England need eight wickets to beat South Africa in Cape Town.

Dom Sibley made 133 not out – his first ton in Test cricket – and the first England opener to do so at Newlands since Jack Hobbs in 1910.

Ben Stokes hit an impressive 72 to help put England in firm position for a final day push for victory.

Ahead of day four, Sibley who played a big part the previous day, was praised by Gareth Batty, a member of the talkSPORT commentary team. Having scored for fun at county level, he said it was brilliant seeing him do it on the big stage.

“He, with Joe Root, has put England in a wonderful position,” he said.

“I’ve spoken to him a few times and he was feeling pressure because he’s used to scoring runs. He has the game for international cricket – 100 per cent.”
