Saquon Barkley was nowhere near MetLife Stadium on Sunday.
But that isn’t stopping the New York Giants running back from getting dragged into the Antonio Brown soap opera.
Brown, as you probably know by now, had a meltdown during the third quarter of Sunday’s game between the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and New York Jets at MetLife Stadium, which culminated in him ripping off his jersey and walking off the field.
Enter Barkley, who was with the Giants playing the Bears in Chicago. OK, not Barkley. Rather it was Barkley’s “personal driver,” according to For The Win.
Barkley’s driver, who goes by @dannyboyhustlehard on Instagram, shared a series of Instagram Stories that included Brown reaching out for help on FaceTime and Danny going to MetLife Stadium to pick up the stranded wide receiver.
NJ Advance Media profiled Daniel Chalet in 2020. Read it here.
But apparently Danny didn’t take Brown straight to the airport, because on Monday, the mercurial wide receiver was spotted courtside at the Barclays Center, taking in the NBA game between the Memphis Grizzlies and Brooklyn Nets.
So what’s next for Brown? Perhaps a trip to Madison Square Garden on Tuesday when the New York Knicks host the Indiana Pacers.
