Think Lionel Messi against Getafe or George Weah vs Verona and then you’ll have an idea of Heung-min’s Son’s goal against Burnley.

The Tottenham forward gave his side a 3-0 half-time lead in the Premier League game on Saturday and had fans drooling.

Collecting the ball 20 yards from his OWN goal, Son began running, then kept running and, after tearing through the opposition defence, slotted the ball into the back of the net.

It had manager Jose Mourinho on his feet applauding, who was no doubt especially happy at the prospect of keeping a clean sheet. Tottenham have conceded twice in each of Mourinho’s first four matches in charge in all competitions.

They haven’t conceded two or more goals in five consecutive games since February 2004 under David Pleat.

Understandably for Son, it took him a few seconds to catch his breath after the run.

Spurs went on to close out a 5-0 victory, with Harry Kane grabbing a double and Moussa Sissoko and Lucas Moura also on the scoresheet.
