and fans were celebrating having thought they had scored, while Bournemouth were denied a penalty in their derby win over Southampton, as were Burnley in their victory over Norwich.
Aston Villa were also left fuming with officials after seeing a clear penalty shout, and a chance to seal a 3-3 draw, waved away against Arsenal, despite the ball clearly striking Sokratis on the arm in the closing stages of the Gunners’ 3-2 comeback win.
The likes of Chelsea boss Frank Lampard and Tottenham defender Jan Vertonghen bemoaned the technology after their sides’ losses.
And the Moose, who was at Stamford Bridge to watch Chelsea’s 2-1 defeat to Liverpool, was also raging after another VARcical weekend – and it’s hard to argue with anything he said.
