Forget your street cred, it’s time to embrace Christmas jumper season.
And this year’s Premier League offerings mean you can become your club’s head elf in no time.
From traditional fairisle prints to full-on cheesy cartoons, we’ve rated all the teams’ festive knits on sale now… apart from Southampton and Newcastle who are owned by Grinches and shunned the joy of jumpers.
Arsenal
With classic Christmas colours, this red and white jumper could come straight from Santa’s wardrobe.
No OTT fuss, clear logo and a nod to the club’s history, you’re gunner show some festive flair this season. If only the players could replicate that.
Verdict: 6/10
Brighton
On first look, this could be a jumper from Primark, but the subtle club logo in the corner and the reindeer’s scarf prove it belongs to the Seagulls.
There’s no chance of going unnoticed in the pub in this one, but it’s the season to go bold or go home.
Verdict: 8/10
Aston Villa
One for the jokers, we get what this jumper is trying to do. But the body is missing, so the Villa football elf you hope to be will be all legs and neck.
We appreciate the festive socks, snowflake pattern and bold striped sleeves, though.
Verdict: 7/10
Burnley
This is a jumper that does what it says on the tin. No frills, just straightforward festive motif. And, in case you weren’t sure, Burnley Football Club is emblazoned across your chest.
The green sleeves are a bit off with the claret and blue, but we’ll let it go.
Verdict: 6/10
Bournemouth
The red and black colours are way too aggressive, it’s like Christmas has just got angry.
Howe can we give this one more than a three?
Verdict: 3/10
Chelsea
The Blues have nailed it with this stylish design. Neat stripes with the name and logo in between festive motifs means this is a jumper for the chicest of fans.
We can see Lampard choosing this for the big day.
Verdict: 9/10
Everton
Come on lads, this is a poor effort. The logo looks weird, the grey background is ‘meh’ and the foot-baubles are too try-hard.
Verdict: 4/10
Leicester
Leicester have stolen the backdrop to Blockbusters for their logo, added a Christmas tree and a snowflake and thought ‘job done’.
But it’s not the most festive or original design we’ve seen. Sadly, Vardy won’t be having a party in this get-up.
Verdict: 4/10
Liverpool
They might be top of the Premier league, but they are mid-table in the festive fashion league.
Featuring those signature song lyrics, complete with Christmas lights and baubles, the club’s jumper doesn’t set the world alight but fans will lap it up.
Verdict: 5/10
Man City
This isn’t a bad jumper in the style stakes, but it loses points for not being recognisable as Manchester City’s top.
Why all the extra colours? Where’s the logo? Looks like the designers might need a Pep talk.
Verdict: 5/10
Man United
Now this jumper is a force to be reckoned with. Brash and bold, this is the perfect mix where Christmas meets football.
Making a claim that Santa supports Manchester United is daring, but we like it. They lose one point for ruining the Christmas dreams of Man City fans.
Verdict: 9/10
Crystal Palace
Make no mistake, this is a sweater NOT a jumper. No-one is wearing this to the gym, it needs to be knitwear.
Aside from the material, it’s quite possible the most lacklustre, unimaginative sweater we’ve seen this year.
Verdict: 2/10
Norwich
This jumper is totally ridiculous. Loud and proud, the colours are awful, the penguins are random and it looks like it is the most flammable of the bunch.
It’s totally cheddar cheese, but it’s so bad it’s good. Extra point for the headgear too.
Verdict: 8/10
Sheffield United
Not a bad attempt and in a similar vein to the Brighton jumper. A classic cartoon with scarf and club logo in the corner.
The football is a bit random, but it will do.
Verdict: 7/10
Tottenham
Are they trying to be a bit too cool? Probably. But it works.
The reindeer is kitted out ready for a spurs match and the colours all work well together. Will that reindeer still be smiling at the end of the season? No way, Jose!
Verdict: 7/10
Watford
This is one aggressive jumper and it’s making our eyes hurt. It makes us think of a retro computer game.
Wear some sunglasses if you’re wearing this one for Christmas eve drinks.
Verdict: 2/10
West Ham
We love a pun, so this gets extra marks for the festive take on their classic club tune. The hammer baubles are a nice touch, but more of a Christmas style pattern wouldn’t have gone amiss.
Verdict: 7/10

On 13 December, millions of people in the UK will get silly with their favourite festive number for Christmas Jumper Day in aid of Save The Children.
