Jose Mourinho has started work as Tottenham’s new manager at the club’s Hotspur Way training ground.
He met his new squad on Wednesday afternoon following his appointment as Mauricio Pochettino’s replacement.
Lille coaches Joao Sacramento and Nuno Santos are making the move to north London alongside their compatriot as part of his new look back team.
The former Chelsea and Manchester United boss signed a three-and-a-half-year contract less than 12 hours after Pochettino was sacked.
The 56-year-old, who had been out of work since leaving United last December, was due to take training on Wednesday afternoon ahead of his first game in charge at West Ham on Saturday lunchtime.
The game, which is exclusive and live on talkSPORT from 12.30pm, will see Mourinho and Sacramento pit their wits against Manuel Pellegrini’s struggling side in a typically pulsating London derby.
But who else will be joining the Portuguese’s backroom team alongside Sacramento and Santos, and what are their credentials? talkSPORT.com takes a look
Arsenal fans would ‘love’ Mauricio Pochettino as manager, says Harry Redknapp
Who is in?
Joao Sacramento
The former Lille assistant manager will join Mourinho as his No.2 in north London.
Sacramento has certainly earned his stripes in the game, starting his coaching career at the University of Glamorgan.
While in south Wales, he completed a degree in sports coaching and undertook a Masters in performance coaching, where he also took on the assistant’s role for the uni team.
The 29-year-old worked for the Wales FA as a performance analyst intern under Gary Speed and Chris Coleman, before moving to Monaco.
After helping Les Rouges et Blancs to the Ligue 1 title in 2017, he made the move to Lille.
Nuno Santos
As confirmed by the Lilywhites on Wednesday afternoon, Santos will join Sacramento at Spurs.
The Portuguese worked alongside Sacramento as goalkeeping coach of Lille, with Mourinho watching the French side on plenty of occasions after leaving United.
Ricardo Formosinho
Formosinho worked as a scout for United under Mourinho and is also joining his team at Spurs.
A former midfielder, the Portuguese was once coach of Kuala Lumpar.
Giovanni Cerra
Another familiar face who will link up with Mourinho and fulfil the same role at Spurs as he did for him at United; a scout.
Cerra was born in Rome and moved to London to complete his studies in industrial design.
He briefly worked in Milan before graduating with a BA in 2006.
Cerra is an amateur biologist and spent time at the university of Plymouth for a 12 month exchange programme, before returning to study at Goldsmiths college in 2010.
Fans may remember Cerra after Mourinho gave him the full hairdryer treatment on the Old Trafford bench during a Europa League game against FC Zorya Luhanska after relaying an incorrect set of instructions to Paul Pogba.
Carlos Lalin
The Venezuelan will move to Tottenham as a fitness coach having worked with Mourinho before.
Who is not?
Rui Faria
Mourinho’s trusted lieutenant from his roles at Chelsea, Inter Milan and Real Madrid will not be joining Spurs.
Faria met ‘The Special One’ at Barcelona when Louis van Gaal was in charge, with the duo forming an instant connection.
But Faria is now currently embarking in his first job as a manager, working for Al-Duhail in Qatar.
Given Sacramento has been appointed as Mourinho’s No.2, it is unlikely Spurs fans will see the Portuguese duo link up, for now.
Silvino Louro
Like Faria, Loura has worked at numerous clubs with Mourinho as a goalkeeping coach.
The 60-year-old helped the likes of Petr Cech, Iker Casillas, Julio Cesar and David de Gea develop.
However, he will not be coming to Spurs. In fact, reports suggest he was not considered for the role of goalkeeping coach at Spurs.
Stefano Rapetti
Rapetti was head of fitness at Manchester United, having worked with Mourinho before at Inter.
But, like Louro, it is understood he was not considered for the role.
