Kobe Bryant has died in a helicopter crash at the age of 41, according to US reports.
It has been claimed the basketball icon – one of the greatest to ever play in the NBA – was among five people killed when the aircraft came down in Calabasas near LA, California on Sunday morning.
The horrific tragedy was first revealed by TMZ, with their report revealing none of those on board survived.
The cause of the crash is under investigation.
Bryant’s wife Vanessa and their four daughters are not thought to have been on board.
Bryant is a sporting superstar and one of the most successful players in the history of the NBA.
He played his entire 20-year career with the Los Angeles Lakers and won five NBA championships.
He is an 18-time All-Star, 15-time member of the All-NBA Team, 12-time member of the All-Defensive team and was the NBA’s Most Valuable Player in 2008.
