Liverpool’s procession as English champions continues as they face Brighton at the Amex Stadium on Wednesday night.
It’s been a stellar campaign Reds fans will remember for years to come with the Premier League title being wrapped up with seven games to spare.
They’ve been worthy winners this season and no one can take the fact they’ve won the title away from them.
Jurgen Klopp’s men are chasing down a record points total, needing 12 points out of a possible 15 to beat the record of 100 set by Manchester City in 2017/18.
Another excellent record they’re on the brink of achieving is winning all their home matches in a Premier League season, something that’s never been done before.
Their laboured victory against Aston Villa at the weekend means they need just two more home wins to achieve the feat with Burnley and Chelsea the remaining teams to come to Anfield this term.
However, there’s a pressing concern regarding Liverpool‘s away form that needs addressing.
They’ve played twice on the road since the season restarted – the first a goalless draw at Everton and the next one a 4-0 drubbing at the hands of Manchester City.
But their away day woes were actually an issue before coronavirus brought football to a halt.
In their last five matches away from Anfield in all competitions Liverpool have failed to win, losing four and drawing once.

What makes this poor run worse is the fact Liverpool haven’t even scored a goal in those five matches.
You have to go all the way back to February 15 to find their last away win as Sadio Mane’s strike saw Liverpool scrape past the Premier League’s bottom side, Norwich City, 1-0.
They have the chance to end this run against a Brighton side who took a giant step towards Premier League safety with a win at Norwich last weekend.
You could argue Liverpool have more to play for with the record points tally to think about and against a side who are all-but safe, it’s a perfect opportunity to end the barren run.
Nothing’s guaranteed in this league, however.
