Pep Guardiola has proven himself to be one of the best managers in world football – a serial winner in every aspect of the word.
The 48-year-old has transformed the landscape of English football since arriving at Manchester City in the summer of 2016.
Guardiola’s trophy cabinet is impressive to say the least, with City’s second successive Premier League triumph in May securing him a 27th major trophy of his elite managerial career – surpassing Jose Mourinho in the process.
The unprecedented domestic treble Guardiola delivered last season underlined the Spaniard’s status as one of the all-time greats.
It is therefore no surprise to see that the City boss has an impressive record in domestic cup competitions.
But even so, it’s hard to believe just how astonishing his statistics are!
Guardiola has lost just three of the 33 domestic cup games he’s been in charge of since moving to England, the last of which came almost two years ago when Wigan beat City in the FA Cup fifth-round in February 2018.

He has already won the Carabao Cup twice and recorded his first FA Cup success last May as the champions destroyed Watford 6-0 in the final.
While Guardiola admits the Carabao Cup is ‘not the best competition in the world’, you can bet your life he will be doing his utmost to add yet more silverware to his impressive trophy haul.
