MK Dons goalkeeper Stuart Moore will quickly want to forget the costly error he made to allow James Milner to score for Liverpool at Stadium MK.
The League One side had caused a few problems for the Champions League holders in the first half of their Carabao Cup third round clash on Wednesday.
Their best chance came when Conor McGrandles fired over the bar from close range when he looked certain to score.
Liverpool also had opportunities with 16-year-old debutant Harvey Elliott hitting the crossbar from six yards out infront of an open goal.
It was veteran Milner who would put the Reds ahead five minutes before half-time, though, thanks to the mistake from Moore.
His shot from the edge of the area was straight at the goalkeeper who looked set to easily gather the ball.
But the ball slipped right through his hands, hit his chest, and went into the corner as he scrambled to try and prevent it going in.
It was a moment to forget for the 25-year-old goalkeeper but manager Paul Tisdale would have been pleased with their efforts against the Premier League club.
MK Dons kept it tight against a youthful Liverpool side with Jurgen Klopp handing out debuts and game time to their fringe players.
