The first match of the Premier League’s restart saw Aston Villa and Sheffield United play out a goalless draw – but the contest had plenty of incident.
The visitors will feel particularly aggrieved they didn’t get the win as Orjan Nyland appeared to drag the whole of the ball across his own goal line.
Referee Michael Oliver was not instructed to award the goal by goal-line technology – VAR had the ability to overrule the call, however.
Villa came close on a few occasions themselves with Blades keeper Dean Henderson denying the likes of Keinan Davis and John McGinn.
The beginning of the match also saw all 22 players and the officials take a knee in solidarity with the Black Lives Matter protests.
