Russell Wilson shot down trade rumors that stemmed from earlier this week after Jordan Schultz, an “insider” podcast host, said the Seattle quarterback would waive his no-trade clause for three teams including the Giants.

“I did see it cause somebody sent it to me,” Wilson told reporters with the Broncos and Saints the other two teams mentioned.

“That’s not in my head right now at all. I didn’t say that. I’m focused on what we’re doing here. Obviously I love Seattle. This is a place that I’ve loved every day, every moment.”

Wilson has reportedly been unhappy with the team the Seahawks have built around him, which has featured a struggling offensive line and seems as though it will miss the playoffs a year after failing to get out of the wild-card round.

Still, he said he wants to be in Seattle for the rest of his career.

“That’s my hope,” Wilson said when asked if he intends to finish out his contract with the Seahawks. “My hope is not just to fulfill that, hopefully I get to play here for 20 years.”

That doesn’t sound like the words of a man who will be getting traded. Of course, things can always change.

Wilson missed time this season with a finger injury, and Seattle’s offense has struggled even with his return. The Seahawks are 4-8, though Wilson remained optimistic.

“I love where my mind’s at, where the team’s at,” he said. “I think that we can be better in this journey. We can go as far as we want to go. That’s five weeks plus. I think that’s where my head is. [A potential trade is] a non-story.”
