It’s win or go home for the Denver Nuggets. The Phoenix Suns, up 3-0 in their West semifinal series, haven’t been slowed at all on offense, and despite Denver’s best efforts, the Suns have been the better, deeper — and healthier — team in this series. Phoenix, one win away from sweeping Denver and advancing to the WCF, is finishing off the Nuggets, who are without Nikola Jokic after getting ejected in the third quarter after a flagrant 2 foul.
With Jokic tossed, and no Jamal Murray, the Nuggets are facing a serious challenge at surviving this game, especially against a team that seems to have an endless number of weapons at their disposal, and a top-notch defense to keep the Nuggets in check. Denver came out with better energy in Game 3, but the Nuggets just couldn’t slow down the Suns’ starters throughout the game. That will have to change in order to extend this series.
