The greatest player in world football will be revealed this evening at the Best FIFA Football Awards ceremony in Milan.
Liverpool’s Virgil van Dijk goes head-to-head with Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo in the battle to be named the Best Men’s Player, the headline award handed out by football’s world governing body.
Six other awards will be given out at Monday evening’s ceremony, including Best Women’s Player, Best Men’s Coach, and the Puskas Award – rewarded to the player who scored the most beautiful goal during the last calendar year.
The ceremony takes place in Milan on Monday, September 23 and starts at 7:30pm UK time. It can be watched on television, with Sky Sports Main Event and Sky Sports Premier League both broadcasting the ceremony.
The event will also be broadcast online via a live stream to the official FIFA YouTube channel and the official FIFA Facebook page.
