The 2021 MLB Draft is in the books and the Detroit Tigers have 21 new youngsters in the fold: Twelve pitchers, three infielders, four outfielders and two catchers.

Now the task will be signing them, developing them and then perhaps one day seeing a few of them in Comerica Park.

The Tigers drafted 10 more college players Tuesday, the third and final day of the draft, starting with a pair of catchers: Josh Crouch of Central Florida and Mike Rothenberg.

“You always need catching and we’ve had our eye on these guys for a while knew them really well,” said Tigers amateur scouring director Scott Pleis. “We thought if we didn’t get them right off the bat we might miss out on one, so that’s what we did there.”

They also added someone from down the road — third baseman Chris Meyers from the University of Toledo.

“He’s got power, and he’s got power to all fields, too, which is attractive” Pleis said.

All 21 drafted Tigers are listed below.
