Another day, another away defeat for Tottenham.
Before they lost to Leicester at the King Power Stadium, Spurs had been without a win on the road since January – eight games or 244 days.
That winless run, which began after Harry Winks’ stoppage time winner against Fulham in January, now stretches to nine games courtesy of Ricardo Pereira and James Maddison goals in a 2-1 win.
Spurs last endured a longer winless away run in the top flight between April and December 2006 when they went 10 games without victory.

MAY

AUGUST

SEPTEMBER

Their next away Premier League game is against Brighton on 5 October – so they could match their 10-game winless record against the Seagulls – but before that is a trip to Colchester in the Carabao Cup followed by home games against Southampton and then Bayern Munich.
Against Leicester, Tottenham took the lead and appeared to be set to end the streak when Serge Aurier put the ball in to the back of the net.
However, VAR intervened – as it had done for Leicester in the first half – and disallowed the goal due to an extremely marginal offside call against Heung-min Son in the build-up.
That then sparked hope in the Leicester team and they fought back to win 2-1.
