Tottenham wonderkid Troy Parrott capped off an excellent international break with two more goals for the Republic of Ireland Under-21s on Tuesday.
The 17-year-old scored the winner against Armenia on Saturday and then hit a crucial brace in the team’s 3-1 win in Sweden.
Ireland now have nine points from three games in their Euro Under-21 qualifying group, and sit in a commanding position as a result.
Parrott is one of the most exciting young prospects at Spurs, having been named in Mauricio Pochettino’s Champions League squad for the group stages last week.
Following the Sweden result, he tweeted: “What a win, what a team, what a country.”
