Arsenal fear they could lose key duo Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Alexandre Lacazette if Unai Emery remains in charge.
The pressure continues to mount on head coach Emery, who has now overseen just two league wins from the past 11 games.
It took a stoppage-time strike from Lacazette to salvage a 2-2 draw at home to lowly Southampton on Saturday following another poor performance.
According to the Daily Mail, Arsenal’s head of football Raul Sanllehi and sporting director Edu want to keep Emery to see if he can turn things around, but other Gunners chiefs are unconvinced.
And the Mail also suggest some players are not overly keen on the Spaniard and could even leave the club if he remains in charge.
Arsenal are currently eighth in the Premier League and there is a growing concern they could miss out on Champions League qualification, and this is causing both Lacazette and Aubameyang to stall on signing new contracts.
There is also a concern that falling further down the table could lead other players to emulate the two strikers and consider their futures in north London.

Gunners legend Tony Adams branded Arsenal’s performance against Southampton ‘terrible’ and admitted there was no progression under the Spaniard.
“I’m just smashed to bits with the performance,” he told BT Sport. “At one point Ozil was sweeper, getting the ball off his keeper and trying to run it through everybody.
“The boos are deserved; it was a terrible, terrible performance, very disjointed, no defending in sight.
“That’s a really poor performance and I don’t want any coach losing his job, but the club’s not going forward, it’s not progressing.
“I can put a team together that’s more organised than that!”
