The Swans, meanwhile, are without a victory in three league games and will be eager to return to winning ways in south London.

Both sides will want to be in a play-off picture at least come May and three points for either this evening would send out a big message to their rivals.

Charlton vs Swansea: What has been said?

Swansea boss Steve Cooper: “You have to be impressed by what Lee has done, I have a lot of respect for him and he has got everybody behind him.

“The games I have seen, they have been committed to giving their all and they have been in all of them even though they had lost a couple prior to the weekend.

“They have been games that could go either way, so they are always competitive and play a formation that can be dangerous in its general set-up.

“But this year, as much as we want to be an attractive team, we want to make sure we have got a good mentality as well and that we can rise to the challenges we come up against.

“This will certainly be one of them.

“It’s a stadium where they get behind the team, but we are really looking forward to playing under the lights there.”
