Roy Keane was ‘shocked’ and ‘saddened’ by Manchester United’s performance in their 2-0 defeat to West Ham on Sunday.
Goals from Andriy Yarmolenko and Aaron Cresswell condemned Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side to a second Premier League loss of the season.
And Old Trafford legend Keane admits ‘it’s scary how far they’ve fallen’ since the club’s title-winning days under Sir Alex Ferguson.
The former midfielder told Sky Sports: “I don’t know where to start.
“I knew they weren’t in a great place, but I’m shocked and saddened at how bad they were today.
“Lacklustre, no quality, lack of desire, lack of leaders.
“There’s a long way back for United, it’s scary how far they’ve fallen.”
United’s woes were worsened when Marcus Rashford was forced off with an injury in the second-half at the London Stadium.
The 21-year-old joins attacking reinforcements Mason Greenwood (illness) and Anthony Martial (thigh) on the sidelines.
