The Bees could’ve overtaken the Baggies with a win, but they fluffed their lines and Slaven Bilic’s side will join Leeds in the top-flight next season.
Brentford must settle for the Play-Offs along with Fulham, Cardiff – and remarkably – Swansea who overtook Nottingham Forest in sixth.
The Swans needed a five-goal swing and they got it by beating Reading 4-1 while Forest incredibly lost 4-1 at home to Stoke.
Swansea will host Brentford in the first leg of their play-off semi final this Sunday, while Cardiff welcome Fulham on Monday.
