West Ham United manager Manuel Pellegrini has heaped praise on goalkeeper Lukasz Fabianski after their 2-0 win over Manchester United.
The Hammers have now kept three clean sheets on the bounce after the result and the Chilean’s backline are finally being rewarded for their hard work.
Last season they conceded 55 goals across the campaign but this total looks like being a lot lower this season with United, Norwich, and Aston Villa kept at bay.
And Pellegrini’s took time out to recognise the talents of his Polish shot-stopper who he firmly believes is the best in the Premier League.
After beating the Red Devils, Pellegrini said: “He is a goalkeeper who works very hard every day of the week.
“He deserved the performances he had last season and the performances he’s been having this year.
“Unfortunately for him last year, I know it was our first year working here defending in a different way and we conceded too many goals but [even though] he conceded so many goals he was the best goalkeeper in the league.
“This season he continues with his performances and now our defenders are working better and not conceding so many chances.”
